Samuel Moseti Obae is our one of our amazing managers. He has incredible energy, a great sense of calm and complete dedication to Kilimanjaro Film Institute. He inspires the students not just with management, but life skills, computers,
English and fun games to increase their confidence. He has had an enormous impact on the students; they are different people from the ones he started working with at the beginning of term in July.
Sam was educated in Kenya, but luckily came back to his homeland to work in film. His experience in the world of film started in 2004, learning from an American filmmaker, Aaron Mathew, and afterwards, in Zanzibar, from the One Minute Foundation.
He and his business partner, Msechu (one of our other amazing trainers) have shot and edited many short films in Tanzania, several of which have been accepted into film competitions across East Africa.
