Brenda Simon

Brenda Simon Education: I have completed my primary education at Trust St.Patrick school, Arusha. I joined Secondary school in 2004 and completed my ordinary level in 2007 at Jeffrey high school.

There after I joined Jaffrey High school for advanced level till february 2009. I did my advanced level for one year only. The same year 2009 I joined Mweka “a college of Afrika wildlife management” for a short course.

KFI: My expectation is to be a camera lady. I like documenting the nature, exploring new things and collecting information, therefore I hope with camera skills I will be able to make the most of it.

David Ahmed Kimario

David Kimario Educatioin: I got my primary education at Karume Primary school in Dar Es salaam from the year 1997 till 2003. Then I went to Dar es Salaam Baptist Secondary School where I got my O-level education from 2004 till 2008. From 2008 I worked with Afrikan Film group as actor.

KFI:I feel privileged to be among KFI members. I will do my best to gain satisfactory knowledge about editing and finally take it to a career level. 

Ernest Herman
  • Place of birth: Kilimanjaro Region
  • Family: Uncle.
Ernest Herman: I got my primary education from 1997 till 2003. I got a chance to join high school but unfortunately my family could not support me because of financial difficulties.

In 2008 I came to Arusha and stay with my uncle and luckily I got opportunity to join United African Alliance Community Center where I learned how to use music instruments, computer and introduction to film making.

KFI: I am very happy now because finally I found myself in the right place to learn more about filmmaking to a career level. My dream is to become a professional Camera Operator in country and even the whole Africa.

David Ahmed Kimario

Hemedi Education: I started my primary education at Kiwanja Primary school at same district in 1994 and completed in 2001.I got a chance to join Secondary Education whereby I went through all four years in secondary level but I was not able to do the final exam because of (financial) problems.

There after I found a certain organization called TEKUA where I learnt English course.

KFI: I enjoy a lot since I joined at this Institute and I am very happy with my colleagues and my trainers. I chose camera operating discipline and I hope I will make it. My ambition in the near future when I become a filmmaker I will use my professional to educate my society.

I promise my trainers and KFI founder that I will obey all rules and regulations of the Institute and I will put my effort on the studies so that I can meet my ambitions.

Jacklyn Lyson Mwalyego

I attended my primary education at Patandi primary school from 1997 till 2004 in 2005 I joined Uraki secondary school for O level and I completed in 2008.

Thereafter I joined a vocation-training center (TAMIHA) for one-year course of cookery and computer course, but unfortunately I did not finish it because of financial problems.

KFI: I love to study at Kilimanjaro Film Institute because of the courses they offer, and I am interested to take a discipline of camera operating. I love nice pictures on TV and on videos as a camera lady I want to do the same.

I will use my knowledge I get from KFI to enlighten people how important education.
My dreams is to become a professional camera lady. I promise to put my effort on the studies and I will make it at KFI.

Jerome Msoffe

Jerome Msoffe Educatioin: I started my primary education at Himo pofo primary school in 1995 till 2001; followed by Secondary Education 0-level and A-level from 2002 till 2008.

I started to realize my interest in film when I was in form four where by I joined drama group and later on started to write stories for films.

I came across KFI’s website on the Internet when I was searching for a film school and felt very happy because I believe this is place to see my dreams come true.

KFI: I think this is God’s plan to fulfill my wishes and dreams, and I am sure KFI is a great place for me to become a professional Editor and storyteller.

Kassim Juma Komba

Kassim Juma Education: I completed my elementary education in 2004. Thereafter I stayed home because my parents did not have enough money to support me for secondary eduation. In 2007 I got a chance to join one of the organization in Arusha,TEKUA a place whereby I learnt English course for six month.

Once again I joined my family. One year later they sent me to Mount Meru Collage where I took a Spanish course. For the second time I couldn’t finish it due to the financial problems of my family.

KFI: I took this aspect of camera operating. I chose this aspect because I want to become someone in the media later on. Being a cameraman is something I have been thinking of for so long and I hope I am going to make it at Kilimanjaro Film Institute. My ambition when I finish this course I want to enlighten the rest of my community about positive things throughout media.

Onesmo Daniel Kimutho

  • Family: Family of seven people

   
Onesmo Daniel Educatioin: I did my primary education at Sing’is Primary School from 1996 till 2002. I went to Nkoarua Secondary School for my O-level education since 2003 till 2006. In 2007 till 2008 I joined Akeri Vocational Training Center which I took Electronics course. Later on in 2010 I went toTEKUA for further English studies.

KFI: I feel so great to join KFI for the Camera Operating course. My future plan is to become a professional Camera Operator and use the knowledge to help my life.

Her work isn’t regarded as a respectful job. This movie shows how she manages to keep her head up.
